Tusked Oni

This Oni mask was crafted on a budget using a cheap plastic full-face opera mask as a base. I had cut the mouth for an elongated opening and built the facial features up with wall spackle and paper mache. The horns and teeth are made from polymer clay. The entire thing is painted by spray paint and acrylic paint. A coat of Mod Podge was applied on top of it all. Masks that use paper mache and sanded-down wall spackle are cheap, easy to make, and only take several days from start to finish.
